What: Invasive Forest Pest Training

When: Tuesday, August 26th at 10 a.m.

Where: Agriculture Building : 525 NC 65, Suite 200 Reidsville, NC 27320

What is it about: Dr. Alonso Suazo, Entomological Programs Specialist with the Plant Protection Divison / Plant Industry of NCDA will be presenting new invasive forest pests. Some of these are already present in NC but most have not been found in our area YET. Many are in neighboring states already.

The goal is to educate the public, about how to recognize these pests, and how to reduce their spread. It will be a power point presentation, about an hour long, with time for questions and/or discussion as needed. There will also be 1 hour of pesticide credit for sub-classes: G, L, N,O,D, X.
