2022 4-H Achievement Night
The 4-H Achievement Night will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Rockingham County office. We will have artistic talent on display during the night. Art entries will be on display starting at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. Art entry forms are available on the 4-H website and are due by January 7.
During this event there will be many awards presented to 4-H’ers and volunteers; 4- Her of the year, Volunteer of the year, Cloverbud of the year, Horseman of the year, and Outstanding Electric 4-H Program Participant. Anyone such as 4-H’ers, leaders, parents, etc can turn in nominations. Nominations are being taken electronically or you can turn in paper form. Electronic form and hardcopy forms can be found on the county website. All nomination forms are due to the 4-H office by January 5. All record books, portfolios, and group reports are due to the 4-H office by January 5!
We will also be having a 4-H slide show from the events of this past year. If you have any pictures that you would like to be shown, please send them to the 4-H office by January 5 – no exceptions! We would prefer digital pictures by email or on a flash drive, but if you only have the picture then be sure your name is on the back of the picture.
We will continue the basket raffle so we are asking that each club bring a basket full of items to raffle during this special night. These funds will go to the Rockingham County 4-H Endowment.
If you are a graduating senior in high school please let me know or notify your 4-H leader. We present seniors with a gift but we need to know names and shirt sizes by January 5.
We will also have the food drive contest again! All collected canned food will be taken to the local food bank. We will have a contest – whichever club has the most food based on the number of people they bring will receive 4-H scholarship dollars for each member present!
We will NOT be serving a meal this year during the event, we are just glad that we will be able to get back together so please plan to eat prior to coming. Can’t wait to celebrate Rockingham County 4-H with you!
