The youth scholarship will provide a year scholarship for someone interested pursuing beekeeping. The scholarship is set up as an annual scholarship fund in memory of Rockingham County Beekeepers who have passed away. Our goal is to assist a student that wants to pursue beekeeping and provide a mentor and equipment to get started.
You must meet the following criteria:
- Recipients must be in high school or college.
- Must have an interest in beekeeping.
- Join the Rockingham County Beekeepers Association, attend meetings and work with a mentor
- You must have a safe place to keep beehives. Mentors will help determine a safe place.
