Three glass jars of preserved vegetables: central jar of whole tomatoes, right jar pickles

Utilizing safe and approved home food preservation methods is an economical way to preserve quality food at home. Whether your interest is in canning, dehydration or fermentation we have a class for you. Classes are also applicable to those starting out or seasoned in food preservation. Each class listed is held at our office located at 525 NC Hwy 65, Reidsville, NC, 27320. If you are interested in having someone come to your program for a class please reach out to Sarah to schedule.

Canning is a great way to preserve your favorite foods to enjoy all year round! These products can be used as thoughtful gifts to family and friends as well as delicious additions to any meal. In using a two-piece vacuum sealing cap and heating the product this interrupts normal spoilage and decaying food cycle. Utilizing canning is a great way to save food costs and prevent food waste.

All class registrations for Home Food Preservation will open three to four weeks before each class. Spaces are limited but we do utilize a waitlist for any cancellations.
