Get ready for Person County 4-H Summer Fun! We are offering a variety of exciting day camps including agriculture & wildlife, emergency preparedness, tie-dye & textiles, forensics, and Cloverbud activities.

Please note that all Summer Fun participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online, our 4-H membership management system prior to camp. Agriculture & Wildlife Camp (June 18-20)

Person County 4-H is hosting an Ag & Wildlife day camp for local youth! Rising 6th-9th grade students will explore local farms to see agriculture in action, create art using nature, visit the Museum of Life + Science in Durham, NC, and more! The cost for this camp is $50.

Safety Explorers! (June 24-27)

4-H is pairing with Person County Emergency Services to offer this day camp for rising 3rd-5th grade students. Participants will learn all about emergency preparedness, including careers in 911, firefighting, emergency medical services, and law enforcement. Youth will take field trips, build first-aid kits, work together to address staged emergencies, and more. This camp includes a K9 demonstration and visit from Duke LifeFlight. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend the closing ceremony on 6/27. Lunch is included each day for participants and the cost is $100.

Tie-Dye & Textiles (July 2)

Join 4-H for a tie-dye & textiles camp! This camp will teach youth about color theory, textiles, folding techniques, and fabric dyeing. Youth can even enter their creations in the NC State Fair in the fall! This camp is open to rising 3rd-8th grade students and the cost for each participant is $25.

4-H Investigates (July 16-18)

Person County 4-H is pairing with several other counties for 4-H Investigates, a forensics day camp open to local rising 6th-8th grade students. Youth will learn several forensic techniques, including examining evidence under a microscope, interpreting staged blood spatters, and more! Lunch and transportation to Alamance County will be provided each day. The cost for each participant is $30.

Cloverbud Days (July 30-31)

This fun camp is all about the Cloverbuds! Cloverbuds (age 5-7 as of 1/1/24) will participate in a wide variety of fun and exciting activities, which include science experiments, crafts, games, and much more! The cost for each participant is $15.

Please be sure to review the Person County 4-H Summer Programs Participant Handbook prior to camp. Payment (cash/check only) is due no later than two weeks after the receipt of your invoice and can be delivered to the Person County Cooperative Extension Office at 304 S. Morgan St., Room 123, Roxboro, NC 27573. Checks should be made payable to Person County 4-H.
