Do you struggle to commit to going to the gym, or with finding ways to be more physically active? Ever thought about dancing your way to a healthy, more active lifestyle? Many times we think that the only way to be active is to get in the gym or by running on the track, but there are plenty of other fun ways of getting moving and one of those ways is by dancing!

Dancing is a great aerobic activity that is great for your heart and also a good way to burn some calories! According to the ACE Physical Activity Calorie Counter, the average adult can burn between 300 and 500 calories after an hour of casual dancing! Getting the recommended amount of aerobic physical activity, 150-300 minutes per week, can significantly lower your risk of developing chronic diseases and may help to manage chronic diseases that you may have currently.

Would you like to dance? If so, you should join us for our “Step Your Way to Health” line dancing class! The classes will be held on Fridays starting August 16th from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., and end on September 13th.
